最後ê hioh腳

~馬偕tī觀音山頂(1900遺囑)~

我規粒心所疼痛ê台灣a！
我ê青春攏總獻hō͘你。
我規粒心所疼痛ê台灣a！
我一生ê歡喜攏tī tsia。
我tī雲霧ê中間看尖山tú天，
pit作無底深坑ê山崁，
thàng去到波浪無停ê外海，
我意愛tī tsia永遠瞻望。
我心bē-tàng割離ê台灣a！
我一生快樂tī tsia，
ǹg望我人生ê suah尾站，
會聽著海湧拍岸ê水聲，
tī竹林搖hàiⁿ ê翠影下底，
tshuē著我最後ê hioh腳。

注：
1. 這首是uì台文翻譯ê詩koh 改譯ê。因為m̄知原翻譯者ê名，所以無注明伊ê名。Tī tsia kā原翻譯者道歉。
2. Tī 1896年出版ê [ From Far Formosa] ê上開始第一節，寫下面tsia ê話。會使講tō是這首詩 ê前身。

[From Far Formosa]:
“Far Formosa is dear to my heart. On that island the best of my years have been spent. There the interest of my life has been centered. I love to lo͘k up to its lofty peaks, down into its yawning tsasm, and away o͘t on its surging sea. I love its dark-skinned people---Tsinese, pepohuan, and savage---among whom I have gone these twenty-three years, I woold gladly, a thoosand times over, give up my life. Before what I now write has been read I will have set my face once more westward toward the far East, and by God's good hand will have reatsed again my beloved Formosan home beyond the Pacific Sea. There I hope to spend what remains of my life, and when my day of service is over I shoold like to find a resting-place within soond of its surf and under the shade of its waving bamboo.”
